OTHER BIRDS

Iberian Chiffchaff making its first apperance in Sussex in May 2023.
The call of the Iberian Chiffchaff is very distinct. We were lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time. We heard it calling just after we got out of the car. So, finding it in the woods wasn't too difficult.
Dipper in Wales
Jays are a member of the Corvid family, however, they're far more colourful than crows. I love those blue feathers on the wings and have even managed to find one on a woodland walk.
Nuthatch.
I love these birds. I always think of a masked bandit when I see one.
Great Spotted Woodpecker.
This one is a female as it doesn't have a red patch on the back of its head.
