Stuffing.
This was the first time I saw a squirrel stuffing leaves into its mouth, which would've been used to build a winter drey (nest).

This looks like an American Red Squirrel (Tamiasciurus hudsonicus) which are smaller than the Eastern Gray Squirrel.

An Eastern Chipmunk (Tamias striatus) holding a blade of grass.
What's not to love about a chipmunk! I could watch their behaviour and photograph them for hours. It was always a joy to see them, whenever they appeared.
I stopped to take a photo of this tree trunk, admiring the interesting patterns in the wood, when a chipmunk suddenly popped up out of a hole and posed.
